What is meditation?

Meditation opens the door to the “Self” which directs, informs and instructs us on the decisions, ideas and activities of our daily affairs and our relationships with others. It is the practical use of inner guidance to create peace and prosperity in our lives.

Meditation is not a religion nor is it a set of precepts or beliefs. It is a method of communicating with our “Self”- our most valuable resource.

Why is meditation an effective tool for change?

Most of us make decisions based on our intellect which collects information from the outer world based on what it perceives through the five senses. It draws conclusions based on these sense perceptions and life experiences. This would be an excellent way of making decisions except the intellect’s view of the world is distorted by a veil of misinformation, uncertainty and fear.

An individual who meditates relies on the guidance of the inner “Self “which remains untouched by outside influences. The inner self utilizes the intellect but is able to discern truth from falsehood. Therefore the decisions made are drawn from the well of truth. The result is an individual aligned with his/her true nature or true self, removing both outer and inner conflict which arises out of a sense of separation.

Meditation opens the door to qualities which the outer person hopes to embody - virtues such as integrity, honesty and compassion. Once fully established in Self through meditation and contemplation the individual begins to experience the peace of knowing that their decisions come from a place of love and strength – and their life is not subject to the fluctuations of life external to them.

How Does Meditation Relate to "Qi"?

Meditation reverses the flow of energy from the external inward to the internal flowing outward. As the individual becomes fully integrated with the “Self”, the flow of energy manifests in solutions, ideas, innovation and discovery. Abundance and prosperity became natural and less effort is required to realize positive results.

Meditation unmasks our true selves and allows the goodness within us to flow outward touching the lives of the people who we come in contact with each and every day.
